Shauna McCuaig, LAc
Shauna received her Master's degree in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine from the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine. She is licensed by the Oregon Board of Medical Examiners and board certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine.
During her time at the Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, Shauna worked as a research assistant on a four year NIH/NCCAM grant to infuse an evidence-based healthcare perspective into existing academic and clinical training. She was also a teaching assistant in the first year qigong series.
Shauna was drawn to the field of acupuncture and Oriental medicine after experiencing the benefits of acupuncture and herbal treatments first hand. Her interest in the group treatment setting occurred after being introduced to Working Class Acupuncture in Portland. She credits her Canadian upbringing for her strong belief that cost should not be a barrier to accessing affordable healthcare options.
